| The Championship match was all it was hyped up to be. There was
a lot of trash talk before the match, but once under way it was all business,
but name calling seemed to be acceptable, both teams used a phrase for each
other that is typically associated with men that really like each other. Jent and Long expected a little help from
Captain Morgan, but he never came out of the golf bag. Jerry Long entertained the gallery, his partner
and opponets with his silly antics of club throwing (and breaking), running
then falling on the ground, and laying on the greens. The match came down to
the last hole when Dennis almost holed a 55 foot putt that would have most
likely won the match, they ended up losing the round by 0.30, very fun match
to watch and both teams were very good sports, if Jent and Long would have
won, I probably would be writing a different story about how Matt Riggs
claimed they cheated.. Tentative plans for the year end tournament will be Friday October 09, 11:30 am for lunch, tee off at 12:30 pm. Cost will be about the same as last year. More details to come about the final arraignments, format and costs for the tournament. Bala and Nelson had the most low rounds of the second half. |
